It’s been a long time since OM put out a new devilgram that was an immediate favourite for me, but Mammon’s gacha UR+ this xmas is definitely one of them! Perhaps finally the viewer will be given a greater understanding of both, and if the viewer is who I suspect it might be, that could be very interesting indeed… Satan’s “birth” is painful for them both, a trauma never healed. Someone who values understanding, who makes friends with ease, who indulges his hobbies, who has his own unique bonds with his chosen family.īut Satan in the beginning, that was a very different being, and one who only had muddled memories and vague guesses as to who the fuck anyone around him is, and where the hell he happened to be 👀Ī mirror image - that is what this trailer shows, Lucifer’s blue turned to red to oppose Satan’s green, opposite hands clutching their faces, equal shapes in the background unlike any other pair (even the twins!), and dual faces of agony. In the original game, Satan has begun to learn who he truly is as his own unique being. Note: these are just my headcanons - all headcanons are valid ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ Morningstar is a real name and Lucifer’s historical moniker Denarios is “coins” in Latin and a few languages derived thereof Têmtum is the entity upon whom Lotan was based upon whom Leviathan was based Diabolos is from the Ancient Greek Διάβολος (Diábolos) meaning “the Devil” D'Amore is of course love, as well as a real name while Zebûl and Pe'or are from Beel and Belphie’s pre-demon roles as gods - Ba'al Zəbûb and Ba'al Pə'ôr. These ones are not for disguise purposes but rather just functional: I did at one point come up with last names for the brothers to use when in the human world (if that comes up in my fics), as neither angels nor demons seem to have such things. (Fun fact, Mammon refers to Lucifer as Luc in my fics 👀)
Just Lucifer and Satan as you say, aka Lu and Stan 😂 Mammon has Mamon, so he doesn’t have to change really, and tbh Asmo, Beel and Belphie probably wouldn’t either - few would connect their shortened names as being related to demons. In-game, Satan is given the name “Sully” in one particular escapade which is a weird choice considering Stan is right there 😂įor the others, some can get away with a shortening or near homophones - Lu/Luc for Lucifer Levi is a regular name Asmund is close to Asmo Bill for Beel Belmont or Belven/Belvin for Belphie.
